Michael has extensive hands-on management experience in airlines in Germany and Switzerland, ranging from ground operations to revenue accounting, and cargo sales to revenue management. In 1992 Michael established his first consultancy business, at that time concentrating on regional aviation. Since then, the client base has covered some 40 countries around the world, including major legacy airlines, regional carriers, airports and aircraft manufacturers. His special areas of expertise include airline and airport strategy, revenue management and cargo.
Michael also has experience in the development of airline software. He participated in the design of the ALP Advanced Load Planning programme in the 1980s and lead the development of a new revenue accounting system in Crossair, which was later further developed into a fully automated proration system.
Michael now also assumes responsibility for aircraft sourcing and trading and supports fleet acquisitions or lease arrangements for client airlines.
