Khemaies looks back to an extensive career in various departments and functions at a reputable North African national carrier. He was responsible for many projects on head-office level and finished his career as a General Manager.

Khemaies served as chairman of the IATA Production Performance Measurement Group being re-elected twice for this post by acclamation of the members. For his outstanding achievements in enhancing research and developments in the air transport field, Khemaies was honored with an IATA Award at the IATA AGM at Montreal in 2009.

Khemaies has a broad and detailed knowledge of the specifics of the entire aviation industry, especially in the French speaking part of Africa. His special focus is on startegic management and cost savings in all operational areas of an airline
